Stafford Office Wi-Fi Stability Case Study
A small business in Stafford reached out after months of dealing with Wi-Fi instability. Throughout the day, devices would unexpectedly drop off the network, forcing staff to reconnect or restart cloud-based work. Their environment was a typical small office setup: one main router, several consumer-grade extenders, and aging equipment arranged over time without a clear structure.
The Challenge
The issues were consistent but appeared random:
- Wi-Fi dropouts several times per day

On-site, we found the root causes:
- The router’s built-in Wi-Fi was positioned low to the ground, behind furniture, and partially wrapped in cabling.

The Solution
We rebuilt the wireless environment in a cleaner, more stable way:
- Disabled the router’s built-in Wi-Fi to remove competing signals
- Ran new Ethernet cabling through the ceiling to place radios at proper height
- Installed two TP-Link access points, one at each end of the office
- Unified both APs under a centrally managed controller, ensuring consistent settings and updates
- Cleaned and reorganized the cable path, removing unnecessary clutter and improving airflow
The goal was simple: even coverage, predictable behavior, and no extenders.
The Results
After the upgrade:
- Wi-Fi coverage became even across the entire office
- Roaming between access points was smooth and stable
- Cloud applications stayed connected without interruption
- Video calls stopped freezing
- No dropouts were reported in the weeks following the work
